The first step on this journey is about understanding the definition "Dawn of Man". There are two definition paths to merge here before we are able to understand why this is related God. First we have the evolutionary path which is about how we humans as species became humans so to speak. The second path is about mental maturity and the conversion from childhood to adulthood.

Non evolutionarists should not get stuck in the evolution versus intelligent design (ID) discussion. It will only make things harder to understand. This first step is NOT related to that discussion. If it were, then it would have been a lot more in advance for non evolutionarists than evolutionarists.

The Man Ape

The evolutionary path is about when and why the early Man distinguished himself from the Apes and moved on to become a modern Man. From the perspective of evolution, Man became more effective and more intelligent than his cousin, the Ape. Since this happened there was no turning back.

So why did this happened? Well, if you take some time and read about the research made on the young ape and man by clicking the up right picture, you will find that the differences mentally and physiologically up to a certain age are notably low.
